Shifts in matriculation examinations

We all know that failing a single subject in Matriculation examination means failing the whole thing. This means quite unfair for students since every effort put during the whole academic year becomes all in vain. There may be several reasons for a student not to be able to do well in the examination and it is quite unfair to decide the effort put the whole year in just three hours. But the sad story is that that three hours is something which decides the student's whole life.

You can always try another year but think about it. It is easier said then done. Time, effort, money and everything has to be invested for another year and this surely is not an easy thing.

Now, things are changing in education sector in Myanmar. And one of the biggest change in education sector has a great deal of things to do with Matriculation examinatoin. One of the changes include that a student has a chance to sit for the subjects which he/she has failed during Matriculation exam. But the limit is only up to two or three subjects. It is still not sure what mark limit should the student has to get in order to get this second chance. But anyway, this is a lot better for the student since he/she has a second chance to try again in three months.
